Blackbox / Event Hall
In some premises, such as a blackbox, you want to be completely isolated from other spaces. A blackbox can, for example, be a room in a hotel where you want to be able to have fairs, concerts or other events with freedom from interference with other activities such as hotel rooms and lobby. With Granab subfloor systems, you isolate the sound to the blackbox in an efficient and easy-to-install way.

A blackbox is a theatre and event space often found in hotels or other businesses where many people gather.

Granab has five different variants of dampening elements with different densities. Four variants of sylodyn elements and a ‘ROT’ element of moulded plastic. Depending on the type of business that will use the rooms where Granab will be installed, Granab designs the right type of dampening element and the right amount of dampening elements per m² to ensure that the natural frequency is at the level that the project’s acoustician believes is reasonable. Granab is happy to have a direct dialogue with the acoustician to explain how the floor structure should look to meet current sound requirements.
S-9000N
The system that enables extreme sound reduction to neighbouring floors and rooms. The possibility of 25mm and 50mm dampening elements of the sylodyn, makes the S-9000N stand out as the best option for blackboxes and event halls.
The S-9000N allows the possibility of both 25mm and 50mm sylodyn, which is often suitable for rooms with high acoustic requirements.
The threaded adjusting screw in combination with the threaded block in the Granab system enables height adjustment.

Granab S-9000N is the system used in rooms with extreme sound requirements. This is because the system allows the use of 50mm sylodyn as a damping element.
Depending on whether the system is installed on concrete or CLT flooring, or whether the system is to be removable, Granab supplies either concrete anchors, concrete screws or mounting screws.
