Kineo
New construction of school – CLT
Render/umage: B1 Design, Architecture: VenhoevenCS
Granab are delivering subfloor systems to the new CLT pre-school Kineo in Roelofarendsveen in the Netherlands. The project primarily involves the delivery of Granab’s 7000N25 system, an adjustable steel subfloor system developed to create stable and flexible raised floor constructions with good acoustic performance.
Buildings constructed with CLT often face significant challenges when it comes to achieving good acoustic performance between floors. The lightweight nature of timber structures makes it more difficult to control both impact and airborne sound compared to heavier traditional structures.
A common solution is to add mass to the floor construction, for example by using gravel or cast-in-place concrete. While this can improve acoustic performance, it also adds considerable weight, material consumption, logistics and installation time to the project.
If you want to avoid these heavy materials and their high environmental impact, the Granab systems offer an efficient way to meet acoustic, environmental and load requirements within one system.
This project is being installed by STAM Montagebouw, and we would like to thank Pellikaan for their trust in Granab.
